So i got Coheed & Cambria's Neverender today. Turns out they are quickly becoming the greatest band ever. I knew they were good live and they have an insane back catalogue of awesome songs but i was totally blown away by the craziness of this DVD/CD thing. It really is epic. Every band out there should strive to be or sound this good. I mean, they really are tight, and mistakes just don't happen. Kind of makes me a bit nervous about gigging cause i can barely play my instrument. Ha!!
Anyway, make sure you check that DVD out. It will make your eyes bleed its that good!

Apart from that i haven't been up to a great deal cause of my arm. Watching Neverender just made not being able to play the guitar even more depressing and i cant wait till i can get back into it.
Kofi's are still rehearsing without me cause the rest of the guys still need to make sure they know what they are doing. I guess i will just have to catch up when iam better but it should be easier for me as i wrote most of the stuff. (That doesn't mean i can play any of it though) We have a lot of material now. Myself and Marc have been working on a couple of new songs but this turned out to be really frustrating for me as its really hard to get ideas across when you cant play the GOD DAMN guitar!! We did record some stuff though and his guitars Sound awesome. Don't know why. Don't seem to have a different set up it just worked really well. hopefully we will get some new stuff on myspace soon for you to listen to.

Hi n stuff.

My name is John. I hope whoever you are is well and good and first of all i would like to thank you for reading my ramblings, which are probably of no interest to anyone whatsoever but due to illness i am currently very bored and in need of something to do and this seemed like a good idea at the time.

So who am i? Well iam your usual 24 year old guy i suppose. I live in the UK in a place called Rotherham, spend the majority of my spare time listening to music and playing the guitar and the rest of my time iam hanging out with my mates. (90% of my life seems to be taken up by work which i am sure is the case for most people these days unfortunately)
I play in a band called Kofi's Shadow, We are currently rehearsing our stuff and hope to do some shows sooner rather than later. You can hear some of our stuff here.

I am also really into art and photography and spend quite alot of time on Deviant art browsing other peoples stuff. I have my own site there too which you can check out but if iam honest i haven't updated it for quite a while as i went a long time without having the Internet.

So the main reason i have started doing this is just through boredom really. I had an operation on my shoulder a couple of weeks ago as i kept dislocating it. The operation was fine but the recovery sucks. I cant move my arm as it is really pain full and really weak and the doc says it will probably be at least 6weeks until i can get any kind of real movement in it. Not being able to play the guitar is killing me and i am pretty much housebound as i cant do much or get dressed (i appreciate i could go out anyway but there is a school pretty close to where i live and well.... you know.... i just don't wanna go to prison)
On the upside i am gonna have a pretty awesome scar from my op. I hope the chicks dig scars!!

So for now i am stuck here just browsing the net looking for new music to listen to and trying to entertain myself. If anyone has any suggestions please put them in the comments for this blog. I am into most kinds of rock and you can see what kind of stuff i like from my profile. Also please send me any links to cool websites and fun stuff.
